Chino, the little chihuahua is barking mad as i step into Preecha Lim's new home in Bearing, greater Bangkok area. Chino might be the dolphin but Preecha - also known as Kamui Lim - is the crown prince of their fantastic kingdom.
Victorian chairs, vintage Delphi porcelain cohabit with Thai iconography, Ayutthaya and Sukhothai royal court fine art fresco and Thai religious artifacts. All inspiration for Kamui's murals, paintings, cushions, porcelains, notebooks and eclectics objects sold under the KAMUI LIM brand name.

I first saw Kamui's work at the beautiful SIAM Hotel retail store in Bangkok.
Poet of the brushes, his fascinating world populated by estrange, mythical creatures running wild into his imagination, ornate the walls of his tiny domain.

With the grace of a prince, blessed with a long and bamboo like silhouette and an enlighten soul, this Peter Pan of the East, paints as others write fairy-tales, inventing a world only him has the key. With his precious figure, delicate hands and candid smile, this artist moves through life with doubts and certitudes, fears and assumptions, as true artists do.

The prince has found a scent to embody his world, the one he lives in and where we are kindly invited to enter. As "Alice au Pays des Merveilles", we push the door of his world of wonders, tip toeing into his dreams, worry to disturb an other creative reverie.
