NO COMPROMISE NATURAL HERBAL TEA - Marc & Lottie Bosch from L'HERBE A L'AISE - Castenau-Barbarens - Gers

"Lots of people say it but herbs that grow in our environment are better for us than the one that grow fare away - They cured our parents and ancestors so we already have a connection with their energy and vibrations" says Lottie about the herbs she grows in Castelnau-Barbarens.

HERBAL TEA, INFUSION, PASSION & DISTINCTION

For Marc and Lottie living freely was to live simply. Originally from Switzerland the couple choose to settle in Castelnau-Barbarens near Auch because the roads were relatively flat compare to other remote French regions they had visited.

Over the past ten years, the Swiss family have lived in this small remote Gers village with out car and electricity, trying to cover their daily needs with as much autonomy as possible. The sale of their teas, herbs and wool ensuring the few indispensable needs.

Lottie & Marc grow organic herbs to make fragrant herbal teas, infusions and syrups. The garden also produces vegetables for their daily needs as well as vegetable dyes to process the wool from their sheep’s. The herbal blends they propose either come from ancient local recipes or according to herbal property and taste.

During winter, the strength of the plant is in the roots to move to leaves and flower buds during spring and summer. Harvests are done between Mid April to Mid July when the plant produces the most essential oil acting as a sun protection.

Sage is collected in July, lemon balm in May, lavender in July, Rosemary bloom in March but does not dry well there for is harvested later

Amazingly, the little house with pink shutters is entirely self-sufficient. The family has arrange solutions for every thing other people “plug in”: the washing machine is spun by hand, the oven and heater are solar and the light comes from Lottie’s bee-candle. The family moving at a pace set by nature in its pristine and peaceful environment.

« Passion and distinction » summarize the motivation of this family so special. The choices they made for them selves translate in the herbal tea quality they produce.  If you want to visit, get back to your pen, envelop and stamp and send a letter, they will reply quickly and will always be there to welcome you.
